Asian landscapes, oil painting, watercolors and drawings

As I am much attracted by the Far East’s culture, I propose you a view of Asian landscapes. These paintings don’t try to imitate the Chinese, Japanese, Khmer or Indian styles, but reflect my own sensations on contact with those landscapes, these cultures.
Particularly fascinated by the Khmer’s temples lost in the jungle, by that intertwining of vegetation and statues, I intend to create many works on the subject.
Moreover, as I have been practising Aikido for thirty years, I came to associate the concept of “Do” (the path) to the pictorial practise: “the perfecting of art lasts all life.”

The Middle East and the tracks of all the great civilizations which developed there will never be forgotten. One of my dreams is to illustrate the ancient road to the silk.
